Her mother and I had every intention of getting together when she was much younger than that, but God and the elements had other plans.
You may have remembered some maternity pictures I took awhile back of Allie (Amelia's mother).
Well this little beauty is what was growing inside of her.
Like her mother said, two bottles later and she would have been too big for the basket!
I loved meeting Amelia. There's nothing like a warm squishy newborn baby to cuddle with...and take pictures of!
Now for some technical aspects.
This was harder for me.
I've never photographed a newborn before. I have absolutely no experience with it.
I just tried to focus on her tiny features and her wonderful snuggly-ness (new word).
At first I was scared to shoot her outside.
I was scared to put her in a basket.
But, this was so much easier with mom calling the shots and being close at hand to prop this or that.
I just want everyone to know that this child was in absolutely no harm. None, whatsoever.
I just love this first go.
I love it even more that it was with Allie and Amelia.
